Deep Field is an abstract visual music piece exploring the relationship between space, sound, and the dreamscape. This experimental film invites the viewer to contemplate the boundless and often intangible nature of dreams, asking: What does a dream sound like?‍ ‍The film brings together an atmospheric soundscape and abstract moving images, seeking a direct dialogue between the audible and the visible. Inspired by Fridemann’s discussion of the long-standing desire to transform sound directly into image, Deep Field explores an “artistic connection between image and sound, the audible and visible” (Fridemann, 2009). Ultimately, Deep Field aims to evoke a sense of introspection and wonder, encouraging the audience to consider the mysterious and limitless landscape of the human imagination.
